It's that time of the year again... 🦊🎉
Hello everyone, long time no see. We're in July again, so it's that time of the year again
Umirama is back for 2026 baby! This will be my biggest year yet, I mean it IS the 5th anniversary, so let's go through all the new things to come this year. I hope everyone's excited. We'll cover new content, collabs, the Umirama timetable, and the future of the series. Let's get into it!
NEW SOCIAL PAGES📄
Right now, the community is incredibly tightly knit, and basically no new fans come in, so I've ultimately decided to branch out my viewer-base. Starting soon, I'll be posting and updating on our newly made social pages. I think a Discord server, a Twitter clone, an unfinished wiki, a barely known website and a webcomic site getting zero traction isn't working, so below will be our new socials!
Stay in touch and share around if you can, and check out the existing content! Please share the comic around too, best way to share stuff is through word of mouth!
I may have community members help me run these pages if things get too hectic.

COLLABORATIONS 🤝
Minecraft CPM Pack
As per Umirama tradition, the Minecraft Playermodels pack (Only on Java), will be getting updated. However, I have yet to finish it, so it may be releasing pretty late into July. Apologies, I have been dealing with medical problems this month. It'll be announced on the Discord when it's released.
ArtFight 2026
The new big thing that also happens in July is ArtFight. I have officially joined ArtFight this year, so if you're interested in drawing or attacking my characters, feel free to do so. There's 12 characters so there's plenty of variety.
Check it out here:

Tomodachi Life: LTD
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream released earlier this year to mixed reviews, and I made a pack featuring all the most important Umi & Candy characters. I will definitely make that more accessible. However, it is available through the Drive link, and you will need a modded Switch or an emulator, and experience with ShareMii.
Not all Miis here are included!
I AM NOT CONDONING PIRACY!
ALWAYS BACK UP GAME SAVES!

Sinner Maker
A new Tomodachi Life like game that's hereditary and has a theme around Christianity and Demons has an official collab too. Much like the Minecraft models, it is also unfinished, and will be announced at a later date. However, it will be much easier to enjoy this collaboration, with it being just a Steam Workshop mod, and just needing to own a copy of the game. If that interests you, grab it on Steam, it's under 10 bucks.
Samaritans Ireland - 24 Hour Gaming Challenge
In collaboration with Samaritans Ireland, I plan to livestream some Minecraft on Twitch on July 24th, in the hopes of raising money for Suicide Awareness.
https://www.twitch.tv/therealbluestar
In my life, I, and many I care about, have been affected by suicide. It's a real problem. So, to help those in need, I would like to raise €500 minimum in fundraising to help those in need.
Never be afraid to speak out if situations seem dire. Always remember that someone is there to care and lend an ear. If you ever feel suicidal, please don't hesitate to call your local foundations. They're there to help.
If you would like to join in on the fun, raise awareness, join our team, and even donate to the cause, please check out our official page. Everything matters. Lives matter. Life is precious, you only get one.
If we reach the €500 minimum goal, I'll begin on the first full series of comics while I finish up my career in college. So please donate below. ALL profits go to charity.

Probably what most people are excited for, the actual Umirama event. Because this event was started pretty late due to my medical conditions, I will be allowing it to stretch a bit longer. 2 weeks is generally long enough for Umirama, so this year, Umirama will be starting on July 10th.

SERIES FUTURE ⌛
To be nice to myself, Issue Zero was recieved VERY mixed between friends, fans and critics. I'll be frank, Issue Zero was just to finally release something after 5 YEARS of procrastination. Test the waters. See what people like and don't like. And while I joke about criticisms a lot in regards to things I also like and don't like, I have taken things into heavy consideration. Issue Zero isn't my finest work. And I don't think it ever will be. I'd like to definitely improve it in future. But that's with my philosophy, 'Make something exist first, make it good later.'
I promise there's a lot happening behind the scenes. Behind my stupid personal life, dreading my future, fucking around on VC and complaining about the new shitshow movies or games that come out, I am trying to make this first non-spinoff title as best I can. Issue Zero was too bloody, too many loose ends, too many questions than answers, stuff I'd love to fix or answer in future.
I definitely plan to overhaul the website with new artwork. The ArtFight reference sheets I had were initially planned for Umirama but since I REALLY wanted to join ArtFight I dropped them early. Glad I did at least, got to redesign a few folks and already have some really good art attacks. Y'all are great, keep it up. And it also helps me refine my digital art skills, so there's that as a plus.
In terms of progress on the next issue, most I can say is that storyboarding is nearing an end. I haven't really started on drawing panels or compiling anything yet, just the barebones. I'd like to get work done and get stuck in, but it seems every fucking day there's a new issue for me to deal with. So, have some patience, throw me a bone, whatever. Plus, Krita overhauled their whole fucking app out of nowhere, and SteamOS updated to 3.8, basically fucked up GPU rendering for Krita, so most of the time I'm fighting with Krita and not working in it. So if I'm mad, that's why. I'm considering jumping off Krita, it's becoming genuinely unusable on SteamOS. I'm not getting a new computer or tablet JUST for art. Wasteful use of money.
After a few mainline issues, I'd definitely love to tap into one-shot spinoffs again, like how Issue Zero was, and explore certain character's aspects. Astute members of the Discord will remember 'Umi's Rage', a concept I had that explains Umi's anger. I'd love to explore that in the coming years. Crazy how the entire franchise started with a spinoff but hey, better than nothing.
TLDR; Work is slow. And I'm one guy. Going through a lot behind the scenes.
CONCLUSION 📖
That's all from me folks. If you have any questions, shoot me a DM on Discord or ping me on the server. I hope everyone has a great Umirama, and thanks for 5 years of this little blue brat and her killer antics.
